What is good about uniDap?

“What is so good about uniDap?” That’s the question everyone asks me, and you can’t blame them for it!

Here are a few points what I think is good about uniDap, and I’m pretty sure that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

- make modifications to your application on the fly
- no need for down time when making changes
- configure instead of programming
- drag and drop interface to create new objects in the system

Following is an interesting scenario that demonstrates the power of the uniDap Technology.

One of our clients who subscribes to the Intranet needs a Risk Management System, it so happens that we have the configuration for a Risk System and therefore we can roll that out to his existing website in no time, or create a separate website for him to access and manage his Risk Management solution. This is all done within no time at all and most importantly within the same database so that the client can easily access the data that he’s been working with for a couple of months now in his online Intranet solution. What other technology do you know that can do that?

At last an IT system to eliminate the IT department

PRESS RELEASE

A Brisbane-based software company, uniDap Solutions Pty. Ltd., has developed a ground-breaking patented technology which creates an environment that literally does away with the need for highly paid programmers.

Led by well-known IT veteran, Professor Ashley Goldsworthy as Executive Chairman and CEO, the company has recently launched a suite of products build upon the after four years of research and development effort.

Goldsworthy, who has extensive experience as a CEO in business and IT for almost 50 years, and who first programmed computers in the 1960’s, said that despite the enormous benefits computer-based systems have brought to business, they have always been accompanied by three costly problems-

1 projects not being delivered on time and on budget,

2 subsequent changes being enormously expensive and time consuming, and

3 the need to utilise expensive programmers.

uniDap Solutions has turned application development on its head. uniDap’s breakthrough technology creates a unique environment that is setting a very high benchmark in customer satisfaction, by delivering exactly what the client wants, on time and within budget.

“In the uniDap environment the entire development process is focussed on configuring the client’s requirements into the exact solution they want rather than writing code”, Goldsworthy said.

Goldsworthy explained that the uniDap technology involved installing the patented uniDap toolset on the client’s computer system and through a revolutionary methodology is able to insert new data, extract and integrate data without the need to reprogram the original database.

“How often”, he said, “do you want to add another field to your application and are told by the IT people it will take days, weeks, or even months?” With uniDap it can be done by the client in real time in minutes.

As Goldsworthy said, you have to see it to appreciate the power of the technology and toolset.

One of the great bugbears with computer systems is the cost and expense of making changes. Conventional systems require extensive reprogramming to implement new reporting requirements from existing systems. For example, with most applications it requires extensive reprogramming of data items and tables in the database.

The uniDap technology not only obviates this but has the enormous advantage of being able to be configured in real time by non-IT staff. With a minimum of training office staff can sit down at their desktop and re-configure the reporting requirements, insert new data items into the database, remove unwanted items, link items, and so on all through their screen.

Another significant benefit highlighted by Goldsworthy was the fact that this revolution now made a solution available to small business which hitherto was the preserve of big business.

Small businesses could not afford their own IT department and were constrained by inflexible software packages. Suppliers generally had a take it or leave it mentality. Customisation was not their business. uniDap now gives such companies the ability to manage their own online applications.

For example, let’s look at the very simple example of adding a new telephone field to an existing application. With conventional systems this requires changes to the database schema and the source code. There is a consequent high risk of errors, the changes may be complex, and it will take hours or days of expensive programmer time, and it has to be scheduled to minimise impact on users.

With the uniDap toolset installed there are NO changes to the database schema or the source code, the insertion of a new data item (a new telephone field) is a simple data entry function done by office staff through their desktop without any disruption of users or any downtime- and most importantly no need for testing. There is no risk and no downtime, and the cost is negligible rather than thousands of dollars.

In essence, uniDap is a revolution which the patent examiner described as “novel and inventive”; it is user driven, it enables user staff to implement changes from their desktops, it delivers solutions in real time, it integrates with, builds on, and (ultimately) displaces existing operating systems and data management solutions, it connects all information according to context and purpose, it allows the capture of output from existing sources, and files it according to its context, it enables everybody to become a knowledge worker and a knowledge manager, and most importantly it can be implemented at a fraction of the time and cost of conventional solutions.

One very significant advantage is that it delivers is web based applications and therefore is at the forefront of cloud computing and hence gives management real time access to information anywhere anytime. The much vaunted cloud computing becomes a reality with uniDap.

uniDap is the brainchild of one of the founders of the company, Wolfgang Flatow, who is Technical Director of uniDap Solutions, and has been working on the project for several years.

Goldsworthy said the uniDap platform would prove a boon to small and medium enterprises and could save large organisations hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Who is uniDap Solutions?

Hello my name is Craig,

As the Chief Operations Officer of uniDap Solutions and this being my first post I’d like to introduce you to our Brisbane based company.

uniDap Solutions is an Australian Information Technology company that has invented and patented a flexible platform which allows extremely fast delivery of online solutions.

Developing solutions on the uniDap Platform requires NO database changes and NO programming. Amendments are made real-time without taking the user offline. Solutions are developed at least 10 times and sometimes 100 times faster than the competition. How many times have you wanted a field added and it takes 6 months? With uniDap it’s done literally in seconds!  Hard to believe?  We can demonstrate in real time.

The vision for the uniDap Platform is to allow non-IT professionals to build their own business software. Solutions can be developed by someone who knows the business rather than by the IT department.

Succinct strategies for revenue generation, marketing and pricing are established, giving the company clear focus. The uniDap Platform presents powerful differentiators, which offer a distinct advantage over competitors and give a direction and edge to the marketing.

The company has a history of developing successful business solutions for Clients and has recently launched a suite of buy-now business products which are available online.

A group of extraordinary and successful people have been attracted to uniDap Solutions. The team possesses extensive experience in:

·          Running small and large companies across various industries
·          Online marketing
·          Project management
·          Software development
·          Web development
·          Business analysis
·          Accounting

uniDap Solutions has generated a steady revenue stream for over four years and to date has spent virtually nothing on marketing. We have had to devote all our limited resources to development. We have now reached the stage whereby the technology is proven and stable and the focus can (and needs to) switch to marketing.

Introduction

Hi,

My name is Taco Fleur and I have been working with the Internet since its early days. After school I voluntarily went into the Dutch Royal Air force and served one year in The Hague.

17 years of age and unsure of what I wanted to do for a living, I worked in hotels like Swiss Hotel and the Hilton. After several years I decided to move to Spain at the age of 19, I worked one year at an ISP based in Marbella, doing what I loved most; designing websites and working with computers.

At the age of 21 I made the bold move to open up my own Internet Development and Hosting company called “Malaga IT”. At one stage the company employed 12 people, ranging from receptionist to designers and IT staff.

Setting up the company was one of the most exhilarating and at the same time most difficult thing I’d ever done. All business experience and knowledge had to be gained the hard way, and each day was another day of learning. Over the next 6 years I setup a complete hosting environment, with email, web and database servers, and managed several staff in hardware sales & maintenance, graphic design, programming and hosting.

Selling the company after 6 years was even harder than starting it up, but I decided that the 6 years of knowledge would allow me to build an even better company and reach my goal of owning and running a successful website one day.

At age 28 I moved to Australia Perth, and remained there for 3 months until I decided that Brisbane was the place to be. I worked for several great companies over the years like; Department of Premier and Cabinet, Tourism Queensland, Suncorp and Inco Mining.

At age 33 I founded clickfind the Australian Online Marketing Platform.

I am now the CIO and Creative Director for uniDap Solutions and have successfully overseen the implemention of a range of new innovations to the uniDap Platform and am looking forward to creating new and exciting features.

If you have any questions on how the uniDap Technology can benefit your business or day to day business, please do not hesitate to ask me.

If you have an existing system that needs to be integrated or need a completely new customised system, feel free to contact us.

Water Quality Solution

Gavin Sigley presented our Water Quality Solution in a forum today to DNR, BOM and other regional bodies, the forum gave a good insight into how data is collected, managed & shared across levels of government, government departments & regional NRM bodies

This is what Vanessa Moscato from Noosa Waterwatch had to say

“Just wanted to say thank you very much for yesterday, the unidap solution to our water quality data storage & management problems was absolutely brilliant, it’s just what we needed & hoped for. Gavin is obviously very much in touch with volunteers & community needs, its great to see the development of a program that will work for everyone.”

This is what Cerran Fawns from Marroochy Waterwatch Inc had to say

“Thanks for the sneek preview of the water quality monitoring program yesterday.  All my dreams have come through!  Can’t wait to try it out.  Let me know the password when you get a chance and I will be on my merry way to utopia.”
